how do i install a second hard drive to my computer?
August 6, 2008 – 9:53 pmI hit bought the required wires (includes SATA cable) and i offer it up. i center the hornlike intend invoke on but it dosn't exhibit up on my computer, exclusive my 1st hornlike drive.
do i intend it to exhibit up in my machine as a removed drive? thanks SJ, i go into Computer Management and there is no Disks option, exclusive Removable Storage, Disk Defragmenter and Disk Management. I clicked Disk Management it unexploded up 3 drives, 1 hornlike intend and digit CD/DVD drives but not the ordinal Hard Drive.
do i do ?

If its a sata cable, you shouldn't have a jumper.
sure you see the disk in your bios. In windows, Go in administrative tools Computer Storage Disks. Actualize and activate the second hard disk.
it and give it a letter (if you don't windows will chose for you) Everything should be working fine after that
