2. This is my business. I have worked as a commercial photographer within the fashion trades for a lot longer than you've been alive.

   say that you think that you can “handle the business”, but, it is your parents that will be called upon to be the bottom-line signers on every bit of business agreements and contract terms that are done. And, as the actual business representatives, acting in your behalf, it would be them that had the genuine pressure on them to see that all of the terms were carried out to the letter. So, it is a lot of commitment on their part to launch into an endeavor such as this. Also, a couple of “really great photos” is not nearly enough to launch a career.

   will be a need for a good deal of preparation for this move and one of the biggest projects with that preparation is the construction of a business ready portfolio.

   means numerous photos that show every conceivable look that you are capable of producing, All of which is not done cheaply, nor without a great deal of genuine work involved. This, as in any true goal worthy of one's attention and effort, will take time and expense. So, the best advice that I can give to you, without actually seeing the photogenic abilities that you may have, is to tell you that you're going to have to prove to your parents that this is an ongoing desire that is at the very core of your being. And, that it is something that can be built upon to finance your farther education and other endeavors later in life.
