What should I serve for afternoon tea?

My someone is reaching to meet me for salutation tea. I'd kinda not attain anything (as I'm not the prizewinning baker!) but would fuck whatever ideas as to what to help her? My Mum advisable whatever shortbread, which sounds nice, crapper anybody declare some pleasant cakes, biscuits or pastries I could serve? I could go to my topical workplace and wager if I could acquire your suggestions freshly prefabricated for our repast Thanks in front

Since you can't cook try cucumber sandwiches! Get white bread.
cut them into little squares making sure there is not crust.
spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the top and bottom. Finally put a thinish slice of cucumber inbetween.
people sprinkle dill on the cucumber too, but if you don't like dill then don't bother. If all else fails then you can make deviled eggs. Also, good shortbread is very hard to make.
with clotted cream and strawberry preserves are delicious as well.
