Unless you buy a ticket for a lottery, it is impossible to win a lottery.
money that you get from a lottery is basically everyone elses' money that they spent buying tickets. So you can never win a lottery unless you've contributed to the lottery money. That's how it works.
general rule is, if you don't know who the email came from, it's spam.
if it's a friend of a friend you still know the name.
if it's Amazon you still know the company. If it's some random person asking you for information, it's spam.
God, say that your brother did not give any bank information or his social security number.
people can be dangerous with that kind of information. If you notice any strange things going on with your bank or anything, call the police immediately and report fraud.
