One Response to “Are these two scriptures in conflict? If so, how to resolve?”
No, I do not think they are conflicting. Christians are to be peacemakers simply by refusing to argue with people. To preach the gospel does not mean to try to cram it down someones throat. It means to let people know about Christ and what God did for people through him. We must always respect the other person's viewpoint even if we do not agree with it. If those guidelines are followed, you are being a peacemaker. Occassionally, people without faith or people who had bad experiences with organized religion have a deep seated hatred for anything regarding faith.
are the ones who will revile us. By not showing anger or belittling them in return, we display the very character of Christ.
not only says who we are.it shows who Christ is.
