I meet can't see ground your upbeat grouping is so bad. I hit a someone over there who is pain and I would conceive there are a aggregation more in her situation.

One Response to “What can Americans do to make Bush listen?”
Nothing will ever change because most Americans are lazy and complacent and more than happy to just whine about things, but when it comes to actually doing something well, you see what gets done. No one will protest like during the Vietnam War because people are too afraid that others will call them “hippies or liberals” or unpatriotic.
for example that soldier’s mom who protested at the White House and then had to retract her protest because other military moms were threatening her and calling her unpatriotic. As far as healthcare, nothing gets done for two reasons: 1.
have this “everyone gets treated and children have healthcare and there are already too many freeloaders” idea. Well, wake up and face the facts: People with no insurance get the minimum treatment required by law and nothing else and insurance premiums are ridiculously high so that leaves a vast majority of Americans out. It's increasingly difficult to get into these *wonderful* programs for children and the middle and working class don't qualify anyway. So, what do you say to the middle and working class moms and dads who make enough to survive, not enough for insurance for their families, and too much for the government programs? 2. Americans have a knee-jerk reaction to anything that even *sounds* like Socialism or Communism. Socialized/universal healthcare has nothing to do with Socialism/Communism, but as soon as Americans hear it, they automatically associate it negatively and are against it. I completely agree with you and would like to add that it's really hypocritical of the US Government to go around “fixing” other societies when its own is far from perfect, and only barely satisfactory.
