October 31, 2007 – 12:23 amOne of my continent friends is hunting for a employ in island thru headhunters. I feature somewhere that non-nationals hit restricted rights in Ireland.
does it mean.

One Response to “Limited rights for non-national in Ireland? Pls explain?”
All non-nationals have to register with the police and get their residency permit sorted, and if they are not EU nationals, they also need to get a work permit sorted.
friend will need to find a job before coming to Ireland and have a letter from the prospective employer stating that they wish to employ him.
is not to discriminate against non-nationals, it is in fact a way of checking up on everyone who moves to Ireland and making sure that they do not have a criminal record and are not likely to be dangerous.
I moved to the Netherlands in 1993, I had to go through the same process with the Dutch Alien Police.
your friend to bring his passport with him when he goes to talk to the police in Ireland.
